If the OP was going to pay an ecto for a 5k run he should have sold the ecto to the trader in the first place, thus giving him enough money for said run and sparing us the mind-numbing triviality of this thread.

Iono, if I was the runner in this case I wouldnt of been a hardass and just taken the ecto and give 2k back.

But, of course, I wasnt the runner and if you want to get real technical about it, the op was wrong about his judgement.

Though I wouldve been extremely pissed off if I found out that I had to pay 2k more than everyone else.

Still though, why make such a big damn deal about 2k? The runners werent getting ripped off, they were offered the 5k, they refused it, and the person left so the rest of the group could get what they paid for.

And before someone comes back on me and says "Oh, well he/she capped! Thats part of the run!"

Big whoop, its just a game, people are screwed over all the time.

Here's a beautiful thing about the English language..."pay with ecto" and "pay with an ecto" are two very different phrasings. Unfortunately, we don't have a screen cap, but since it was posted by one of the runners, I'll assume it was lifted from the supposed video. While there is some liberty to interpretation, as there tends to be with languages, typically the former refers to an equivalent exchange of the good (7k ecto - 2k gold = 5k run) and the later is more like here's the item, keep the change. Since the runner quoted it, the former seems to be correct and oops...you should have been happy to give him 2k and wait for an upswing in ecto prices to make a better profit.

Obviously the runners tried to scam him.

They know how much a Ecto is going for, and they didn't mention it to the client. The client knew what the Ecto was going for and thought that as these guys were runners they would know this.

Why didn't they say to the person that the Ecto is worth more than the run? Because there greedy.

There just pointing out that just because it wasn't said, just asumed, they could scam him out of 2k.

Obviously the client thought the runners were pro's and not runners who want to make as much money out of you as possible.

As the client left before the end of the mission, he never got the run, the runners didn't get paid, everyone is even.

I'm sure you all know why this is Closed. I shouldn't even have to explain it.
